The Night

The Night
So this is the story all about how my life got twist turned upside-down (by the by damn you Minions your post about fresh prince led me to find the complete series of the Office online and Thom's right its actually pretty funny). After braving the storm and getting the ring on the Friday and after having a monetary mix up. I didn't leave myself much time with which to give it to her without ruining the surprise. On Saturday after work I ran/slid to Michael's and bought a bunch of red "spiced apple" candles. Then the plan was to slide into a flower shop and get some rose petals. let me tell you they don't make it that easy... After a little while and a few flower shops (including one that told me I could just buy roses and cut the heads off to get the petals) my journey led me to Safeway and lone behold they not only just had them, but they had them in 5 different colours...
I went with red.
Oh wait hang on a sec I'm missing something... oh yes before the roses and after Michael's I went to the Minions Liquor Store and got a bottle of wine and met Alex for his lunch.
OK so back to where I was.
I had everything I needed and decided to head home. For those of you that know where I live in relation to the Studio 16 theatre this next bit will sound a tad epic and for those of you that don't just try to keep up... The wind was cold and the snow levels high I parked at the theatre and started my adventure. With two bags in each hand and snow often above my knee I plowed my way home to start the preparation. Almost an hour later I got to my stoop only to find that he snow had claimed my left boot. I shrugged it off and battled out of said broken boot, stumbled up the stairs and into my bedroom. From there I laid the candles and spread the petals then I lay in wait for my lady to arrive.
i had told her to call when she left work that way I could have a cup of tea waiting for her. She did as I asked, that's when I lit the candles and closed the bedroom door. When she walked in we talked and exchanged hello's, but she wasn't moving to the bedroom quite like I'd imagined, she was hungry. I told her I'd make her soup if she wanted to go change, and she agreed.
When she opened the door she gasped and turned around and her eyes settled upon me down on one knee.
